2 pieces of carry-on baggage that can weigh up to 22 lb (10 kg) in total and measure a maximum of 22.4 x 15.7 x 12.9 in (57 x 40 x 33 cm).

Considerations

The carry-on baggage allowance is either 22 lb (10 kg) or 44 lb (20 kg) depending on your reservation, a maximum of 2 items are permitted and this allowance applies to the total weight of all the items that you carry on board.

If any of the pieces of carry-on baggage exceed the stipulated specifications, you have the option to either purchase extra weight (up to 44 lb (20 kg) in total) or to check in the baggage and pay the corresponding fee.

For your safety and comfort, the carry-on baggage that does not fit under the seat in front of you will have to travel as checked baggage. Be sure to keep the items you may need during the flight with you.

Purchase an extra weight allowance

You can purchase an extra weight allowance of 22 lb (10 kg) - a maximum of 2 items of carry-on baggage are permitted - up to a total weight of 44 lb (20 kg). As long as they comply with the stipulated regulations.

The advantages of purchasing an extra weight allowance for your carry-on baggage at the time of booking or in My Trips are:

Important

In accordance with TSA regulations, as of March 15, 2017, passengers traveling from the United States are only allowed 2 items of carry-on baggage.

Due to new TSA regulations, as of June 30, 2018, passengers traveling to the United States are restricted from carrying powder products of over 350 ml (12 oz) in their carry-on baggage. These products must be transported in checked baggage only.

Liquids, gels and aerosols

Must be carried in a container holding no more than 3.4 oz (100 ml) / 3.2 oz (90 g), and in a sealed, transparent plastic bag.

Batteries

It is permitted to carry type D, C, AA, AAA, 9V and 6V batteries as long as they are for personal use in electronic devices.

Infant formula, medicines, milk and baby food

Must be declared. It is important to be remember that your baggage may be screened by airport authorities whenever they consider it.

Alcoholic Beverages

In your carry-on baggage it is permitted to take up to 169 fl oz (5 litres) of alcoholic beverages with an alcoholic volume between 24% and 70%, as long it is a name brand and has its seal intact and was purchased in Duty Free. Only applies to direct national and international flights (no layovers).

Don't forget...

Keep your official ID, documents, medicines, money, keys, electronic devices, etc., in your carry-on baggage.
